Book cover choice.

So for the upcoming book cover project, I've decided to do mine for " Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. I saw the movie many years ago and I thought it was okay, until I read the book and it was definitely much much better than the movie. I usually don't really like romance stuff but this book tells a cinderella-like romance that made me absolutely adored it!.

Here are a few book cover design for it by other artist :

They used the girl from the movie to made this cover below

Poster project

Wow, still can't believe that we are on our 3rd project already! So for this one, I was so torn between making a poster for the Romeo and Juliet musical plays or for the Moon Festival event. And then I thought that since Romeo and Juliet is a great classic, many people must have been making covers/ stage/ poster for it already...so I want to do something entirely new and introduce the Moon Festival event for people who have never heard of it before!

Here is a brief definition of the Moon Festival :

"The Autumn Moon Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. It is also called the Mid-Autumn Festival since it generally comes in the middle of fall. At this time, the moon is at its fullest and brightest, making it an ideal time to celebrate the abundance of the summer's harvest, and remembering the lore of Chang E, the mythical Moon Goddess of Immortality."

so Moon Festival is a very popular Asian event, I grew up celebrating Moon Fest every single year. We eat mooncakes, light up lantern, watching the Full moon. I'm planning to incorporate rabbits, fairies and of course creating my own shing moon in PS for the poster ! :D

So here are the finished collage ads that I did. It was a fun project and I hope that everyone will feel like a badass while solving the rubik's cube now haha....
